Ingredients
- 500g boneless mutton*
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 4-6 saffron strands
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- 2 tbsp oil
- 3-6 garlic cloves
- salt to taste
- 4 onions
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 cup of water
Method
- Clean and wash mutton pieces 3-4 times under running water
- Marinate the pieces with cumin powder, ginger, cinnamon and saffron, and set aside.
- After 10-12 minutes, add garlic, coriander leaves , and salt. Cover it for 2 hours.
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, add 2 tbsp oil, onion, and tomatoes. Cook for 4-6 minutes.
- Add the marinated mutton pieces mix well. Add water, cover, and cook for 60-65 minutes.
- Garnish with some more coriander leaves.
